Reviews for the Kitchen

Big group

On a very hot day we were lucky to score two tables to accommodate 15 people. The service was very friendly, welcoming and relaxed. The children’s meals came out very quickly! Adults meals were a great size and the risotto was delicious.
Thanks for a great lunch!

Relaxed atmosphere tasty meals.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. My husband and I had visited with our 3 month old. It’s nice to be able to relax somewhere with a bub and the staff were laid back and friendly. Loads of flavour in the pasta dish I had and nice wine pairings. The gourmet food shop next door is tasty too. Make sure to stop by to the nearby cellar door too!

Outstanding service and great food

A friend and I called in for coffee and decided to stay for lunch. The waitress couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. We both decided to order the white wine tasting plate, which turned out to be a good call. We sampled the Mediterranean chicken, prawn orecchiette and triple cream Brie with matching wines. The flavours in the prawn dish were amazing and the chicken was cooked beautifully. I have never tasted such creamy, delicious Brie. I’d definitely recommend this place and I dare say we’ll be back!

Great food and atmosphere

Had a fantastic lunch on a rainy day recently. The staff are very nice and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. The deli next door had some great choices of local produce at reasonable prices.

Drive-Thru Lunch

We called into Pokolbin for a nice lunch on our way back to Dubbo, & are so thankful we stopped at Two Fat Blokes!
My husband had the pulled pork sliders with apple slaw & I have a white wine tasting plate with 3 amazing mini courses!
Definitely recommend!
The waitress was so lovely & let us taste a variety of beer & wine before having to pick one!
Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing & picturesque, service impeccable & food to die for!

Must do Breakfast

Best breakfast in a very long time. Got to love a bloody mary to start for breakfast. Selection was great, servings perfect. Didn’t need lunch that day.

5 stars must visit

One of the must stops for great lunch. Beautiful setting, great service and delicious food. Loved the tasting platter with matching white wine. Everything was divine all in friendly and welcoming set up. Will definitely be back next time and would love to try your tours.

Sunday Brunch at Two Fat Blokes

We were very surprised at the selection of small goods including cheese and variety of goodies available in shop. We had a light brunch in the restaurant and found it to be very clean and well priced. We would recommend going there for the Sunday lunch as when we were there a guy was setting up to do some songs which would have been a great venue on a Sunday afternoon.

Killing the Hunger Pains

Booked here for a family lunch, the service, menu and meals were fanatstic, great choice of food with generous servings, the craft beer was delightful.

Burgers to die for

Had come here with a group of friends and the burgers here are devine. Real beef paties and nothing brought in all housemade and cooked properly. Casual place great for a quick graze we will be back.

Great food, great service

We came for lunch and it was great. Kids dishes were out first as we asked. We ordered the fish of the day, German sausages and garden salad. All the dishes were extremely tasty. Do not forget to visit the dely store at the end to grab very tasty ice cream.

Amazing atmosphere DELISH food

We sat on the tables outside and were spoilt with a live musician, who was so good! It was such a chilled, relaxed vibe, made you really feel like you were on holiday. The food was very good, the lamb, the hot chips, so delicious. The drinks even better – moscato slurpee was sooo good! The kids loved running about on the front lawn and dancing to the musicians tunes. A great lunch had by all!!!

Popped in for a bite to eat on a leisurely Saturday. Great atmosphere as there was a guy singing and playing his guitar in the gardens. I think there is live music every weekend, weather permitting! We enjoyed a couple of different plates to share. A bruschetta, duck liver pate which was amazing!! and a pulled pork sliders. Service was great and friendly. All in all a lovely place to have lunch. The deli is amazing too, lots of selection to fill your fridge and pantry with!! Being a local we will definitely be returning!!

Breakfast in delightful surrounds

We came here for breakfast this morning. The food was amazing and the place was quiet busy. The deli is amazing and has a choice of really lovely cheese. Food was exactly what we needed and they have very good freshly made juice and old fashion lemonade. The milkshake was great too! Perfect place for the recovery breakfast needed on a Sunday spent in the hunter. Worth a visit.

You have to go here!!!

Just loved this place for breakfast. Everything you could wish for. Seating was indoors as well as outdoors in the sun or under a covered pergola. Food was just exceptional and I could have easily eaten there for every meal. We chose breakfast and had Croque Madame and 2 Fat Blokes Big Breakfast which were both fantastic. Loved the deli on site also where you can buy a huge range of cheeses, olives, sauces and more.

Great cheeses & good value meals

We stopped by and bought some amazing cheeses. The kitchen was great value in a region where most restaurants are expensive.

Lovely location, very enjoyable food

Three of us went here after a verbal recommendation from another business, and we were very glad we came. The location was delightful, the serving staff were friendly. Two of the party had pulled pork burgers and they thought were great. Well all agreed my german feast was the best, the two different wursts, the fancy bacon, and the PORK CHOP. That PORK CHOP was so tender and the the flavour was something all three of us thought was outstanding, the portion sizes were generous.
